The purpose

Landowners make decisions across many time horizons: work that should happen this season, records that must remain available for years, and stewardship choices whose effects may take longer to understand. Useful information often sits across maps, agency resources, contractors, documents, photographs, and personal knowledge.

Lasting Acre is being built to organize that work around the property itself. Its central question is straightforward: what should I be doing to make this property better?

The standard

The product should be calm enough to use at a glance and rigorous enough to explore when a decision deserves scrutiny. General educational material, property-specific recommendations, and the evidence supporting those recommendations remain distinct. Lasting Acre will not imply that remote data establishes facts it cannot establish.
